About REV AMOS V & SARAH (WORLEY) LASHLEY REUNION 2003
THIS WEB SITE IS COMPLETELY DEVOTED TO THE REV AMOS V AND SARAH (WORLEY) LASHLEY FAMILY REUNION HELD 04 OCT 2003 IN ARCADIA, IRON COUNTY, MISSOURI AT THE SIGNOR SENIOR CENTER.

THIS AFFAIR WAS A GREAT SUCCESS WITH THE TURNOUT WE HAD. IT WAS A WONDERFULLY CLEAR SUNNY DAY WITH UNSEASONABLY WARM WEATHER. THE FOILAGE OF THE AREA WAS BURSTING WITH ALL THE HUES OF AUTUMN WHICH MADE THE WEEKEND EVEN MORE ENJOYABLE.
THERE SO MANY HIGHLIGHTS I DO NOT HAVE THE SPACE TO MENTION THEM ALL BUT THE ONES THAT STAND OUT IN MY MIND ARE THE THE RELATIVES I MET FOR THE FIRST TIME AND EACH OF THEM BEARING GIFTS OF PHOTOS AND HISTORICAL ITEMS FOR ME...I WAS THRILLED! NEXT WOULD BE THE RESULTS OF THE SILENT AUCTION WHICH GARNERED OVER $1,000 FOR THE RESTORATION OF THE REV AMOS V LASHLEY FAMILY CEMETERY. WE HAD SEVERAL EXQUISITE DONATIONS. THE FIRST ONE THAT COMES TO MIND IS THE HAND MADE STAINED GLASS SIGN DONATED BY ELAINE AND JACK D LASHLEY (DESCENDANT OF MARCUS H LASHLEY) AND THE NEXT ITEM WAS THE WOVEN PLACEMAT WITH THE MONGRAM OF "LASHLEY REUNION" DETAILS IN FALL COLORS AND WAS DONATED BY GLORIA (PEACE) GRIFFITTS AND RUSSELL GRIFFITTS (DESCENDANTS OF CADMUS C LASHLEY). EACH OF THESE ITEM WERE "ONE OF A KIND".

ALSO, IT WILL ALWAYS BE EMBEDDED IN MY MIND WHAT I LEARNED FROM THE ELDEST DESCENDANTS AND THEIR MEMORIES. IT WAS TRULY AMAZING!

LAST BUT FAR FROM LEAST, WAS THE PARTNERSHIP OF THIS EVENT WITH ANN (PEARSON) JACKSON AND DARRELL JACKSON (DESCENDANTS OF MARCUS H LASHLEY). ANN WAS SUPER TO WORK WITH AND I COULD NOT HAVE DONE THIS WITHOUT HER HELP AND INPUT!
wE HAVE JACK A LASHLEY OF DES ARC, MO TO THANK FOR HIS HELP IN DISCOVERING THE FAMILY CEMETERIES. aLSO, JEANETTE MCCLURE HENSON FOR UNCOVERING REV AMOS V LASHLEY'S HEADSTONE.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list.
